CHARACTER

9 character traits make up our Country Day Character Curriculum.  The Character Curriculum that we use has been developed totally by teachers on our staff and is made up of a separate curriculum for PreK-2nd, one for 3rd and 4th, and one for 5th-8th.  Teachers use the first 5 or 10 min. of each day to address the curriculum  with students.  Each week culminates with a Spirit Assembly at the beginning of the day on Friday.  The goal is to develop a sense of community and caring for the entire Country Day Family.  Students, staff, parents and friends of ACDS are encouraged to extol good character by doing things the “Country Day Way!”  It’s another means for ensuring a positive school climate for all who enter our doors.
