Annual Fund Drive

What is the Annual Fund? Currently, 94% of tuition is used to cover the salaries of our faculty, which is necessary to provide the exemplary education offered to our children. Beginning in the 2009-2010 school year, ACDS implemented an annual fund drive. This provides additional dollars which are vital to the ongoing operation of our school. 

What does the Annual Fund Support? The best curriculum in the world is only as good as the teachers to whom it is entrusted. The Annual Fund enables the school to offer professional development opportunities and highly competitive salaries, allowing us to attract and retain the most qualified, experienced and enthusiastic faculty. It helps the school provide state-of-the-art technology and gives our students the necessary advantage of learning on the most up to date equipment. The Annual Fund supplements our income at Country Day, allowing us to rely less on tuition. This, in turn, keeps class sizes smaller, making it possible for teachers to cultivate a one-on-one relationship with each student. 

How can I make a gift? Donations may be made by cash or by credit card. Checks should be made payable to ACDS and mailed to ACDS Annual Fund Drive, 5603 Bayou Rapides Road, Alexandria, LA 71303. You can make a credit card donation by clicking on the give online button and following the instructions on the secure gift form. All donations to the annual fund drive are tax deductible as allowed by law. ACDS is 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

Corporate Matching Gifts. Many companies offer matching gift programs for employees and their spouses. Many programs match on a dollar-per-dollar basis. A match can double or even triple your gift. Inquire at the Human Resource Office of your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program. If so, please advise the ACDS Development Department at barsenault@acdsonline.org.
