ACDS Tiger Teams
ACDS provides its students with team interscholastic athletic opportunities in basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, and cross country.
Basketball- ACDS has four interscholastic teams: 6th grade girls, 6th grade boys, 7th/8th grade girls, and 7th/8th grade boys. The season begins in September and concludes in December. Teams typically play games on Mondays and Thursdays; players are also involved in weekend tournaments. Country Day competes against public, parochial, and independent schools.
Baseball and Softball- Students in grades 5-8 have the opportunity to participate on school-sponsored baseball and softball teams. Practice begins in January, and the season concludes in April. ACDS participates in a baseball league with public, parochial, and independent schools in central Louisiana.
Soccer- is available to students in grades 6-8. Practice starts in the fall and all games are held on Saturdays in November. Country Day participates in this soccer league with other public and parochial schools in our community.
Cross Country- is comprised of 6th - 8th grade students. Cross Country is a fall sport. Country Day competes against other middle schools in our comminity as well as attending meets out of town.
ACDS offers an intramural basketball program for all students in grades 1-8. The season begins in January and ends in February. Parent volunteers coach teams, and games are played on Saturdays in our gym.
